Unbound at Dal Lake Resort
Mcleodganj - Dharamshala
About
Vistas - Above & Beyond
Best known as the home to his holiness The 14th Dalai Lama, Dharamshala is a popular hill town on the foothills of the imposing Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas.
Barely 8 km from the city and 3 km from Mcleodganj, the Dal Lake Resort by the Naddi Road is a stay best noted from its ‘unbound’ views away from the bustling noise of the hill station while being close enough to allow for tourist indulgences, unlike other hotels in Mcleodgang or Dharamshala.
Overlooking the vast valley, the hotel has 30 spacious rooms, each of which come with a USP of unobstructed views and new comfortable furnishings. And while we strongly recommend sampling the gorgeous Tibetan food of Mcleodganj and surround places, the hotel itself comes with a large restaurant serving popular as well as local delicacies to cater to a range of pallets.

Unbound Dining
Kamlesh is the in-house super chef who hails from Himachal and is ever pleased to have guests order local kangara dishes while also making sure regular north Indian food are prepared with equal love & care. Meals are served either in-room or at the large dining area with a capacity of 36 pax.
Unbound recommendation - Our chef Sandeep is a local from the area and loves stirring up local Himachali dishes. Our over-arching recommendation to travellers for this destination however always is to check out some of the popular Tibetan and continental restaurants around Mcleodganj's main market!

Unbound Crew
Led by Sonu Ji, popularly referred to as Abhinandan given his uncanny resemblance to the Armed Forces’ hero, the team on-ground, comprises of locals who, like the Vodafone tagline goes, are ‘Always Happy To Help”.
Kaku, short for Kulwinder and Rishu, short for Rakesh, are the on-ground Customer Delight Soldiers, ably supported by Chacha Ji – the housekeeping lead.
And what’s a vacation without good food. The onus of that lies on the shoulders (or perhaps the fingers) of Kamlesh, the local pahari proficient in North Indian, fast food, as well as local dishes from the Kangara cuisine.
Unbound Experiences
Location
The resort is located 8 km from Dharamshala and 3 km from Mcleodganj, by the Naddi Road.
Last Mile Directions:
About 1 km before Mcleodganj, take the left to go towards the Dal Lake. Once you reach the lake turn left and just after the first haripin bend, you will find a steep upward cemented path on your left that marks the hotel entry.
